1/27/2012 P52 – Project 52 Week 4: Self-Portrait

Self-portrait = {insert sound of doom here}. LOL

It also so happens to be the FIRST real assignment for my photography class.

Do you know how horrible it is to take a self-portrait of yourself!? It’s heinous. But, I did it. And these are the results thus far. And trust me.. I hesitate a million times but, here it goes… {doom}.

The lighting sucks… focus.. what focus.. too many poses that made me look 100 x worse… 86′d those… etc. Many a lesson learned though.. and that’s what I’m trying to accomplish. So. Be. It.

1/20/2012 P52 – Project 52 Week 3: I Dreamed A Dream

This week’s topic for P52 is I Dreamed A Dream. So, I took a picture of a dream that we’ve had for a very long time. A door. This door.

From Martin Luther King Jr.’s I Had A Dream speech, I attach these words to this particular photo:

1/13/2012 UE – Correct Exposure Exercise 2 Part 1 Still

I had a lot of pics to postprocess for size and watermark. This is the first set of stills. Notice the subtle difference as the background becomes more clear as the F stops increase.

1/6/2012 P52 – Project 52 Week 1: Resolution

One of my resolutions for 2012 is to study photography. For Christmas, I asked for a book called, Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. I really hope to get through the book and all of the assignments this year.
